External Coursework Registration - Youth Options & Course Options Programs
Before registering for any courses offered at a school or institution other than the School District of New Berlin (technical colleges, universities, other sites), students must complete the appropriate paperwork.
The Youth Options Program provides the opportunity for Junior and Senior students to take post-secondary classes off site (a UW institution, a Wisconsin technical college or one of the state’s participating private nonprofit institutions of higher education), provided a comparable course is not offered in the District and there is room in the class. March 1, 2017 is the deadline for first semester (fall 2017) Youth Options courses.
Oct. 1, 2017 is the deadline for second semester (spring 2018) Youth Options courses.
The Course Options Program provides the opportunity for students to take courses at a variety of different educational providers provided there is room in the class, the course aligns to a student’s Academic and Career Plan, and the class is needed to complete a graduation requirement. Some restrictions apply, but all applications need to be complete 6 weeks prior to the start of the course. http://courseoptions.dpi.wi.gov.
Please contact the educational institution to confirm the registration deadline for a particular course.
Complete this form to request credit for external coursework if the course is not eligible for Course or Youth Options.
