We use a very "hands-on" approach to teaching science in First Grade. We want children to observe and explore the world around them, ask questions, and experiment with their thoughts and ideas.
The First Grade units of study in science are:
- Weather
- Fire Safety
- Matter
- Dental Health
- Sound
- Plants
Several of our field trips and in-school presentations by experts reinforce and enrich the science learning we are doing in the classroom.
