HID Information Slide Show

On Friday, May 6, 2016 the whole school will be participating in our annual High Interest Day sponsored by the PFC. This day is set aside to provide an opportunity for all students to explore different careers, hobbies and activities in a hands-on environment (such as archery, basket weaving, cake decorating, fleece pillow making, geo-caching, marshmallow shooters, to name a few). The Kindergarten has a separate morning only program, with this year’s theme "Cinco de Mayo." This exciting day ends with all students attending a "Grand Finale."

High Interest Day has always been one of the highlights of the school year for students and this year will be no exception.

The planning committee has worked very hard to bring together over 30 amazing people from our school and community to donate their time and expertise to be presenters so that students enjoy and benefit from this special day. Students in Grades 1-6 participate in five different activities throughout the day. All five activities for Grade 1 students are pre-determined, while Grade 2 has three pre-determined activities and registers for two activities of their choice. Grades 3-6 students register for all five activities of their choice. Students will learn more about all of the activities being offered this year in the upcoming weeks. Registration will take place on April 5 & 6th, right after Spring Break.

Thank you in advance for your help,

OL High-Interest Day Planning Committee
