Applying for Colleges
Universities begin accepting applications September 15th. Seniors should be considering which schools they are interested in applying to, scheduling on-campus visits if they haven’t done so already, then applying to those schools by November. Applications may be picked up in the guidance office, or students may apply online at www.apply.wisconsin.eduThe universities prefer the online application. To be accepted to a UW system school an ACT test needs to be taken. Seniors if you have not taken this test you can still do so by going to www.actstudent.org
Technical College applications cost $30 and can be submitted on October 1st. Students looking to apply to Waukesha County Technical College can do so online by going to http://www.wctc.edu/admissions/apply_online.php
The guidance office will mail college applications along with required ACT scores and student transcripts. In order to do so, written permission to release records must be obtained from either the parents of students who are under age 18, or the student himself if he is 18 or older. Transcript Release Forms are available in the guidance office.

Guidance counselors will be visiting your classes the first two weeks of school to go over application information
