Dear Parents of Ronald Reagan 4^th - 6^th Graders,

 I would like to invite your child to participate in the ’17 – ’18 Ronald Reagan Choir.  Ronald Reagan Choir is a co-curricular performing group open to all 4^th - 6^th Graders. 

Choir will meet on Monday mornings before school (7:45 – 8:25) in the music room or on stage according to the schedule on the back of this letter.  Student attendance is very important to the success of the choir. Each member depends on the roles of the others; therefore, a commitment to good attendance is necessary. There is no fee for choir; however, students may be asked to prepare a costume or wear dress clothes to the concerts. 

Choir will perform two concerts during the school year in conjunction with the band and orchestra. These performances will be Tues., Dec. 5, 2017 and Tues., May 15, 2018. 

A short audition is required.  Auditions will consist of small groups of students singing a short portion of a familiar song in a comfortable situation.  The purpose is to allow me to know the students and become familiar with their voices.  Students may stop by the music room before school, during lunch, or at the end of class Sept. 11 – 15.

The Ronald Reagan Choir is a fun way to learn about music, performing, and working together with classmates!  Please consider joining us!  J

Choir Singing at Veteran’s Day Flag Ceremony

                   Fri., Nov. 10 the Ronald Reagan Choir will perform the National Anthem as part of

            our school’s Veteran’s Day Flag Ceremony.   Nov. 10^th has also been designated

            “Red, White, and Blue Day” at Reagan, so choir members should plan on wearing

            any combination of red, white, and / or blue.   Families are welcome to attend the

            ceremony which will begin at 8:45 and run until approximately 9:15.  The event will

            be held outside at the front of the building around the flagpole.
