I am thrilled and honored to serve as the Principal of Elmwood Elementary! I have spent the last seven years as Elmwood’s Associate Principal working alongside our amazing students, staff and families. Prior to coming to Elmwood, I served as an International Baccalaureate Coordinator and teacher for over thirteen years. I am always a teacher at heart!

I am fortunate to be a mother of two amazing children. Last summer, my husband and I officially adopted them after almost six years in foster care! They are truly the love of my life. Jacob will be a third grader who enjoys soccer, wrestling and trying new science experiments. Jasmin is a very energetic first grader that loves art, gymnastics and getting her nails done with Mommy! When I am not at Elmwood, I enjoy spending time with my family, biking, and exploring new places in Wisconsin!

This year we will continue to focus on our core beliefs, including relationship building as a primary factor in achieving student success. Most importantly, we  believe that we are a team in all facets! I have had the opportunity to be a part of a community of families that work together to make Elmwood the special place that it is. Simon Sinek states, “You can’t do it alone, so don’t pretend you can. Together is better.” The many talents and skills of the Elmwood staff, the dedication of Elmwood families, and the success of our students is what is incredibly unique about our community!

We will also continue to collaborate and work together to lead our students to high levels of learning. Here at Elmwood, we strongly believe each and every student is a leader! Therefore, we will continue developing leadership skills in our students, as well as within our school and community.
