Orchard Lane Staff Collective Commitments

The Orchard Lane Staff will:

  • Value and respect individual rights, differences, and opinions.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and safe learning environment.
  • Collaborate with genuine intent through open and timely communication.
  • Support clear, consistent, and high expectations for continuous growth and achievement.
  • Share responsibility and make collaborative decisions based on what is best for students and learning.
  • Recognize and celebrate individual and collective growth and achievements

What are collective commitments?

People make a conscious and deliberate effort to identify the specific ways they will act to improve their organization and they commit to one another to act accordingly.

  • They drive the day-to-day work of the school.
  • They contribute to the action orientation of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), helping us move from aspirations to actions.
  • They clarify how each person can contribute to the common purpose and shared vision of our school and district.
  • They unite us in a common endeavor.
  • They are the promises we make to each other.
