New Berlin School Board Goals - 2024/25
Goal 1: Student Achievement -Constantly strive to increase student achievement through opportunities and accountability.
Action Items (key results):
● Continue to support the Superintendent in achieving his academic goals by
○ Adding more reading coaches, providing more professional development, consideration of new resources and financial resources needed to execute.
● Receive data in a timely manner from the Administration, so we may analyze and provide feedback needed to get us where we want to go. *We will come to meetings prepared.
● Presentations to include information on what the District offers other than AP classes. Where are we now and where do we want to go.
Goal 2: Staff - Increase job satisfaction and make the school district an attractive employer.
Action Items (key results):
● The Personnel Committee will with work with Administration to assess staff survey to identify lowest scores, determine what is driving them, possibly refining the questions, and implement a plan to increase those lower scores on next surveys. We want to see a 2% increase in those specific questions over the highest score in the last 3 years.
Goal 3: Fiscal -Act with fiscal responsibility and be good stewards of physical assets.
Action Items (key results):
● So that the Board can make informed decisions:
○ The Finance Committee will work with Administration on a debt payoff plan.
○ The full Board will review the LR Facility pan.
Goal 4: Community - Engage the community more.
Action Items (key results):
● Promote the Dashboard, gather feedback, & make improvements.
● Ensure the Outdoor Facilities Task Force fulfills the resolution.
● Intentionally attend school activities, visit schools and participate in Education Foundation activities.
