2026-2027 School Board Committees

Facilities

The committee shall consist of three members of the Board of Education and shall review and present to the Board recommendations concerning matters pertaining to the buildings and grounds operations of the School District of New Berlin. The primary tasks of the Facilities Committee shall be to advise in the construction, renovation and repair of all school district properties, to review financial statements associated with capital improvement projects, to provide appropriate recommendations to the Board of Education for official action and to maintain a long-range facility plan on the district website. Any additional tasks regarding building and grounds operations assigned by the Board shall be dealt with in an advisory manner by the Facilities Committee.

Finance

The committee shall consist of three members of the Board of Education and shall review and present to the Board recommendations concerning matters pertaining to the financial operations of the School District of New Berlin.  The main tasks of the Finance Committee shall be to monitor financial activities through monthly reviews of revenues and expenditures, included in the financial report and to review gifts and grants received by the District. Any additional tasks regarding financial matters assigned by the Board shall be dealt with in an advisory manner by the Finance Committee.

Personnel

The committee shall consist of three members of the Board of Education and shall review and present to the Board recommendations concerning matters pertaining to the personnel of the School District of New Berlin. The main tasks of the Personnel Committee shall be to advise the Board on recommended regular and/or supplemental employment contracts, job descriptions, and overall staffing patterns throughout the school district. The committee shall also review, in coordination with the Director of Employment Services, a feedback system for exiting staff. Any additional tasks regarding personnel matters assigned by the Board shall be dealt with in an advisory manner by the Personnel Committee.
