The School District of New Berlin, like most school districts in Wisconsin, defines "administration" as any of the following: superintendent, chief finance and operations officer, department heads and principals / associate principals. The SDNB currently has eight department heads that are considered administrators: director of elementary schools, director of secondary schools, director of student services, director of employment services, director of communications and public relations, director of buildings and grounds, director of technology and director of food nutrition services.
All members of the SDNB administrative team, with the exception of the building principals / associate principals, work in District Office. Some of the SDNB administrator positions require, by law, specific educator licenses.
District Office is also comprised of various support staff members, many of whom are non-contracted, (typically) at-will employees who perform valuable tasks and duties to benefit SDNB students, staff and families.
