Are you considering Homeschool as an option for your child's education as an alternative to public or private school? Homeschooling is regulated by Wisconsin state statutes. For more information, please consult the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's Home-Based Private Education (Homeschooling) page and Frequently Asked Questions.
Under current law, parents must annually register their child/children by October 15 via the PI-1206 HOMER Homeschool Report.
(Note: students enrolled in a Wisconsin virtual charter school are not considered homeschool students despite receiving their education at "home." However, if a child is receiving home-based instruction through a Wisconsin non-public or private school or program, the child's parent/guardian should file form PI-1206.)
